Kevin B. Record is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee. He is also recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology (Freed-Hardeman University, 2015), a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Freed-Hardeman University, 2017), and has been working in the field of mental health since 2014. Kevin utilizes a variety of counseling forms and techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and person-centered therapy. He has been trained in and can administer the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI). Kevin is a Christian and a member of the Tennessee Association of Pastoral Therapists (TNAPT). He has roughly a decade of experience in community mental healthcare and as such enjoys working with a wide variety of populations, regardless of background or faith. Kevin works primarily with adults and adolescents. He has experience conducting individual, couple, family, and group counseling for a range of issues, including but not limited to anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, gender dysphoria, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), struggling relationships, and substance use disorder. Kevin additionally served as a member of the Foster Care Review Board (FCRB) in Henderson County from 2020 through 2025. He has been married to his lovely wife since 2017 and is “Dad” to one feisty little terrier mutt. He is a member of the Jacks Creek Church of Christ and is regularly engaged in service there as a speaker or worship leader. He is an active Freed-Hardeman University alumnus and has been heavily involved with the Theatre Department both as a student and an alumnus. He is currently involved with the Hub City Theatre Company as a member of one of their Improv teams.
